Wow.  Can we say forgot about this?

Well, college was up and down the first year.  I had MAJOR problems with people…but that’s cleared up…..hopefully.
And hopefully I’ll be doing something with this space….

I moved into my dorm last night and after a weird night I’m sitting here completely bored.

Right now I feel really awkward seeing how I know no one and everyone I’ve met knows everyone.  So my roommate and my roommate’s friend are sitting here talking and I’m…on my computer.

But not all is bad, it’s pretty nice here and it’s not raining yet, which is really really good!  We’re busy all of this week with basically no downtime, but it’s good because then I get to meet people…hopefully.  People seem really friendly, and I’ve met some upper classmen that are really nice even though they never met me.

There ARE some cute guys here, so that’s a plus, but unfortunately none have introduced themselves to me.  But there’s a “Graffiti Dance” tonight where we have a white shirt and we get sharpies and write on people just for the heck of it.  So, maybe I’ll meet some guys here

Well I have a RA meeting now and then in a few after we have the matriculation ceremony to welcome us into Duquesne….yay…dressing…up.

…or so.

I’m definitely going to be using the blog a lot more, especially since it’ll be different not being around my friends.

In 6 days I’ll be in Pittsburgh, attending Duquesne University.  It’s both frightening and exciting at the same time.

I’ve been spending the last two days watching Heroes, and I love it!  I can’t believe I never watched it, but it’s good I’m getting into it early!

I’m planning on uploading a few more resources as well as making a new layout, hopefully before Tuesday.

Here’s hoping I actually get it done, and more importantly that a certain person contacts me before I leave.

I really have been avoiding this lately, haven’t I?

Well there’s nothing too new with me, besides the fact that I graduated from high school in May and I am now currently 18 as of May 24th.

I’m about to make a few more icon textures and such, as lately I’ve been out of my graphics groove…but other than that my life has been pretty boring.

Yeah…so…what do you guys want me to blog about? 

Yay!  Spring Break began today at 2:55 PM!

Sunday I’ll be waking up at like, 1:30 AM and going to the air port with Nicole/Fuzzy and my parents and we’ll be off!

Things have definitely been looking up lately.  I got myself a new digital camera since my old one was so old…it didn’t even have sound to the 23 seconds of video it could take!  My new one is so shiny! You can see it here!

I recently joined facebook and more specifically the Duquesne ‘11 group and figured out that like….everyone wants to drink.  Yay.  I don’t drink.  Well after about a week or so, I friended this girl who will be in my learning community [aka on my floor and in some of my classes] and she’s into like…everything I’m into!  We clicked so well, at least…I think we did!  I’m really excited to go to Duquesne, it seems like it’ll be fun!

As for High School?  Well…it’s definitely….er…high school.  People are still being weird/dumb/confusing…though Physics is actually much better now that I’m with people I like.

I just can’t wait to leave, I don’t want to leave my senior friends and my journalism girls [Kristen, Krista & Catherine especially] but I also want a fresh clean slate.  I got my financial aid package(?) today and I’m pretty pleased.  I got a few scholarships and grants for my grades [shocker!!!] and 2 loans…which I’m hesitant about but they aren’t for as much as the scholarships and grants…which is very good!

I’m so happy right now, things actually might be turning up.  I also got a new ringtone!  The little things make me so happy!!!

I’ve been trying to blog for a few weeks now, but I just haven’t thought of anything to say….which is sorta depressing.

My parents have been hounding me for scholarships, and it’s starting to get to the point where I can’t make up anymore bs on the scholarship essays.  I should be sitting here working on scholarships, since my parents sure as heck can’t pay the 30 thousand tuition for Duquesne.

It’s scary, the thought that I’m going to college.  But at the same time it’s a relief.

I’ve been trying to keep myself busy and always occupied when I’m doing scholarships.  That way I can multitask and not be completely….annoyed.

My dailies as of late now include Livejournal constantly, the Shrine and the contests that I’m running there [ugh, that reminds me I need to make my icon for the Last Icon Maker Standing contest…] and a game called Torncity that I started playing because of Kier .  I’ve been getting so bored of the computer lately.  And it doesn’t help that two of the main members of my RP decided they don’t like me or something, I mean, the one girl was like…my best friend and now she wont even talk to me at school.  I don’t even know what’s up with that, everytime I ask I don’t really get a real answer.  And when I asked the other girl, she said she was busy with school, yet she’s ALWAYS online….whatever.  I’m not getting into this, if they want to be the bigger people they could try talking to me.

So anyways…before I go off into a mini-rant and another headache….I AM GOING TO NEW YORK APRIL 1ST AND 2ND WITH NICOLE.  We will hopefully be seeing Spring Awakening, and my cousin Erin and the Statue of Liberty and Ground Zero and other fun stuff!

ALSO!  I need a new digital camera, a little cute one that’s tiny and can fit in my purse.  Also one that doesn’t require batteries [like, you can just put it in a holder thingy and it charges?]  I HATE battery life problems, so I want to avoid that.  So if anyone has any ideas on what to do for that, it would be super cool   Preferably under 200, or around 200, I think I have that much in spending money.

Which brings up the “I need a job” problem.  Ugh.  Life just sucks right now for me, lol. Though Prom looks pretty promising.  My dress is HAWT.   I’ll be going with the Gradient, but it’s worth it, as long as a RAT doesn’t come and ruin it for us.

Well I’m off to do more scholarships and pray Duquesne will give me some extra money….eeeek.

After that…lovely post of bad news and me saying a few things that definitely was better protected…I do have some good news!

We were sitting at dinner when my dad goes “If we were to take the first week of spring break in April, could we get tickets to that play you want?”

I stared at him for a good long time before going into a tirade of planning and ideas.

So, he’s gonna check at work and we’ll order the flight tickets tomorrow for the 3 of us!

I’m so so soooo excited!  I’ve never been to New York, and I really want to go.  My dad said that it’s a pretty good chance we’ll be going, and my family hasn’t been on a vacation in 10 years.  No lie!

It’s a bit of good luck for me, which is definitely what I need after this week of not-goodness.  We’re still waiting for the results on the mass, and we’re praying it’s nothing serious…but it’s growing really really rapidly and there’s a huge possibility that it might be cancer.

His birthday’s April Fools Day, when we might be going to NY.    That’s not that good…but I don’t want to talk or think about it right now.  It’s already made me cry in school for the past few days, and I have no one to talk to about it…and to be honest I really DON’T want to talk about it a lot, especially on here.
New York!!! Omg!  I’m soooooo stoked for this!  My cousin lives there and we’re gonna hook up with her so she can show us around and keep us from getting robbed and killed .

I’m off to email her So so soooo excited!

I’ve been a nervous wreck for reasons I can’t exactly talk about in a public blog such as this….but just pray for me and that everything goes smoothly without complications.

I’m pretty sure it’s the same thing I had a few weeks ago, sore throat turned stuffy nose. i took some Airborne, which I highly recommend to EVERYONE [haha, no this is NOT a pay per post, no matter how tempted I am to utilize this…I will not go down that road].

I’ve been getting back into Final Fantasy 9, I love it so so much I’m such a girl geek :3 I might actually make a quiz on it in a bit…maybe once I get all the characters as I’m at the end of the 1st disk, if I remember correctly.

Speaking of quizzes, I’m making a few quizzes based off my Broadway Loves <3 :kiss: My Rent quiz is almost done, just gotta make the graphics.

Tonight the gradient and went to the bowling alley to sing some karaoke. Of course, as karma would have it, we got kicked out of the bar for being under 21. But what was infuriating about it is that we were with Nichole’s dad! This week has been terrible, so many bad things have happened and this was just the cherry on top. Nichole and Fuzzy have been having bad things happening this week too! It’s like a cursed gradient week or something!

On the plus side, I don’t smell like cigarette smoke thanks to the Smoke-Free Ohio ban

I installed SlimStat thanks to a recommendation from Starlet on her forum, and I love it. I already found out that a certain person keeps viewing my website, probably to see if I talk about her or what not lol.

To Do List

• Finish up requests
• Finish up quizzes! [Which Rent Char. Are You? How Much of a Renthead are you? And a FF9 quiz ]
• Make a lol smiley for WP.
• Apply for some more scholarships.
• Reiterate the fact that avoiding the problem never works. But what do I know, no one ever listens to me anymore.

So much drama in the life of teens. I can’t believe it!

Well it’s cold, and I’m sick and I should be in bed. Babysitting tomorrow, which is always great. I need to find a job!!
